The plan type re-articulates the typology of court, verandas and screens in a contemporary context. The project sets a possibility of re-using waste generated by debris of broken buildings, in the larger endeavor of reducing carbon footprint. The plan incorporates a downward evaporative cooling duct designed as a central vertical shaft of movement, connecting all floors, moving air from terrace down till basement, and flushing out through the central amphitheatre. Rainwater is harvested and excess is percolated into ground. Wast water of the building is channeled through baffled walls to allow sludge to settle and clear water is sent to municipal system reducing solid waste load on municipal infrastructure. Solar PV panels connects to main grid producing more than total energy required, giving us zero billing. Herb and citrus garden on terrace along with solar panels reduces direct absorption of heat from top.
